Regents back UT Austin plan to support talented students, redefine campus symbols

The University of Texas System Board of Regents, under the leadership of Chairman Kevin Eltife, today unanimously approved a series of actions that UT Austin will take to recruit, attract, retain and support talented Black students from around the state and promote a better campus environment for students, faculty, staff and visitors.

UT System Regents to meet July 14

The University of Texas System Board of Regents will meet via conference call at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, July 14.

The agenda for the meeting is posted on the Secretary of State’s website. Links to the complete agenda book and live webcast are posted on the Board of Regents’ website. All times listed in the agenda are approximate.

Fall plans at UT institutions include in-person, online and hybrid courses

The eight University of Texas System academic institutions have developed plans to offer in-person, online and hybrid courses this fall, while taking numerous and extensive measures to protect the health and safety of students, faculty and staff. Information about each institution's plans has been posted on their respective websites:

Regents approve campus plans for fall 2020

The University of Texas System Board of Regents unanimously approved plans Monday for the system’s eight UT academic institutions to offer in-person, online and hybrid courses in the fall, while taking numerous and extensive measures to protect the health and safety of students, faculty and staff.

However, given the changing dynamics of the coronavirus pandemic, which led institutions to pivot exclusively to online learning in March, each institution is prepared to quickly alter its plans and step back or close on-campus activities if conditions require it.
