I try and engage my students through conversations and lecture.
I believe that classrooms in this discipline should be part lecture, and part conversation to draw students into the discipline and further independent study. Students are urged to voice their opinions on subjects pertinent to lecture topic. The overall goal is to inspire student thinking independent of any professorial perspective. And usually it works.
